Terms of Service
Last updated 11 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Origgoo LLC ("Origgoo", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the Origgoo platform at origgoo.com and its related applications (the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms, in which case “you” refers to that entity.
2. Your account
You access the Service through an account (created directly or via a supported sign-in provider such as Google). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@origgoo.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. What the Service does
Origgoo provides software-based tools that use artificial intelligence and third-party data sources to help you: articulate a problem or idea; generate and organise possible invention directions; search and review publicly available patent and prior-art information; and prepare draft documentation and figures. Where you request it, the Service may also help you route a matter to a human expert for a separate professional engagement (see Section 10).
4. Your content and your inventions
You own your inventions.As between you and us, you retain all rights, title and interest in the ideas, problem statements, descriptions, files and other materials you submit to the Service (“User Content”), and in the inventions and intellectual property you develop. We claim no ownership of your User Content or of any invention you conceive.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, display and create derived working copies of your User Content solely to operate, secure and provide the Service to you, and to generate the outputs you request. This licence exists only so that the software can function; it ends when you delete the relevant User Content or close your account, except for residual backup copies kept for a limited period and records we must retain by law.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe the intellectual property, confidentiality or other rights of any third party. Do not submit material you are not authorised to disclose.
5. AI-assisted output
The Service generates suggestions, directions, summaries, reports and figures with the assistance of automated and AI systems (“Output”). Output is provided to support your own thinking and decisions. Because AI systems can produce information that is incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, you are responsible for reviewing, verifying and exercising your own independent judgment before relying on any Output.
Inventorship and authorship are legal determinations that depend on human contribution. You are responsible for ensuring that your own conception and contribution support any claim of inventorship or ownership. We make Output available to you and, as between you and us, do not assert inventorship or ownership over inventions you develop with the Service.
6. No legal advice; no attorney–client relationship
Nothing in the Service is legal advice, and using the Service does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and Origgoo or any of its personnel. The Service, including any prior-art search, draft, analysis, or figure, is provided for informational and drafting-assistance purposes only.
Patent law is complex and jurisdiction-specific, and deadlines are strict and unforgiving. You should consult a qualified, independently-engaged patent attorney or agent before making any filing, disclosure, commercial or legal decision. Any professional services you separately engage are governed by their own engagement terms — not these Terms.
7. No guarantee of patentability or results
We do not warrant, represent or guarantee that:
- any idea, direction or invention is novel, non-obvious, useful, patentable, or registrable in any jurisdiction;
- any prior-art or patent search is complete, exhaustive, current, or free of error — patent databases have coverage gaps and publication delays, and a search cannot find everything;
- any invention does not infringe existing rights, or that a patent application will be filed, prosecuted successfully, or granted; or
- any particular commercial, legal or financial outcome will result from using the Service.
Any decision you make based on the Service is made at your own risk and on your own responsibility.
8. Confidentiality of your ideas
We understand your invention data is sensitive. We treat your User Content as confidential and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your User Content, and we use third-party AI providers on terms intended to prevent your inputs from being used to train their models. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and for the strongest protection of highly sensitive matter you should also rely on formal, independently-advised legal protections such as confidentiality agreements and timely filings.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
- submit content you have no right to submit, or that is defamatory, obscene, or violates any third party’s rights;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract the Service or its data; circumvent rate limits, authentication, or usage controls; or resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, models, or underlying components, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system; or
- use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to misappropriate our or others’ intellectual property.
10. Expert review and professional services
The Service may let you request review by, or referral to, a human professional. Any such professional services are a separate engagement subject to a separate agreement, scope and fees between you and the relevant professional or firm. These Terms do not create, and are not, such an engagement. We are not responsible for advice or services provided under a separate professional engagement except as expressly agreed there.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, AI model providers, patent-data sources such as public patent datasets, the European Patent Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office, identity providers, and hosting and payment providers). Your use of features that depend on them may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, models, design, text, graphics, the Origgoo name, logo and brand, and all related intellectual property, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Aggregate, de-identified analytics that do not identify you or reveal your User Content may be used to operate and improve the Service.
13. Fees, billing and taxes
Some features are or will be offered for a fee, as described on our Pricing page or at the point of purchase. You agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes (including GST, where applicable). Paid plans may renew automatically until cancelled. We may change fees prospectively; changes do not affect the current paid term. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, and you authorise us and them to charge your selected payment method.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4–8, 11–12, and 15–19) will survive.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and all Output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any Output is accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions; in that case the exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Origgoo and its directors, employees, agents and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or for any loss of, failure to obtain, or invalidation of any intellectual property, patent right, or priority date, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100 (one hundred United States dollars).
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Origgooand its directors, employees, agents and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your User Content; your use of the Service; your breach of these Terms; or your violation of any law or of any third party’s rights.
18. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration provision below, the state and federal courts located in Dover, Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be finally resolved by binding arbitration before a sole arbitrator under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated at Dover, Delaware, conducted in English. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent interim or injunctive relief from a competent court.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by posting the updated Terms with a new “Last updated” date or by in-product notice). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
20. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
