Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Origgoo LLC ("Origgoo", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the Origgoo platform. We know your invention ideas are among the most sensitive things you own, and we treat them accordingly.
1. Who we are
Origgoo LLC (Limited Liability Company (Delaware, USA)) is the data fiduciary / controller responsible for your information in connection with the Service. Our contact details are in Section 13 and on our Contact page.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your name and email address, obtained when you register or sign in (including through a sign-in provider such as Google).
- Invention content— the problem statements, ideas, descriptions, files, answers and other materials you submit to explore and document inventions (“User Content”).
- Communications — messages you send us, support requests, and expert-review requests.
- Payment information — when you purchase a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor; we receive limited transaction details, not your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — such as actions taken in the Service, feature usage, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, and log data, used to operate, secure and improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used for essential functions such as authentication and session security. See Section 9.
3. How we use your information
- to provide, maintain and secure the Service and your account;
- to generate the AI-assisted outputs, searches and documents you request;
- to record how ideas and contributions develop, so your work is preserved and your human contribution is attributable to you;
- to process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- to communicate with you about the Service, and to respond to your requests;
- to comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
4. AI processing and service providers (sub-processors)
To provide core features, we share the minimum necessary information with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:
- AI model providers — to generate directions, summaries, reports and figures, relevant portions of your inputs are sent to AI providers. We use these providers through their business / API offerings on terms intended to ensure that your inputs are not used to train their models.
- Patent and prior-art data sources — to run searches, we send search queries (such as keywords derived from your idea) to patent-data services, which may include public patent datasets and official patent-office interfaces.
- Identity, hosting, storage and payment providers — for authentication, hosting, file storage and payment processing.
We do not sell your personal information or your User Content, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
5. Legal bases
We process your information to perform our contract with you (to provide the Service), with your consent (where required, for example for certain communications), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service in a manner consistent with your rights. Where applicable data-protection law (for example the EU GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) requires consent, we rely on the consent you provide.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterwards only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes such as security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You can delete your User Content or request account deletion, after which we will delete or de-identify your information within a reasonable period, except for residual backups and records we are required to retain.
7. How we protect your information
We apply technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of invention data, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication, and hosting on infrastructure we control for data sovereignty. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; you also play a role by keeping your credentials safe.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, to obtain a copy of your information, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity (where provided under applicable law). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain session security, and remember essential preferences. Because these are essential to the Service, disabling them may prevent parts of the Service from working. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
10. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
